Santander loses 60 points of capital in Brazil to Basel III, less than expected

Santander will suffer an impact on its maximum quality capital of 50 to 60 basis points in Brazil due to the adaptation of the banking regulatory package known as Basel III. However, the new requirements, which will entail a joint effort of the Brazilian bank of more than 6,300 million euros, will be lower than those predicted by analysts, who predicted an additional effort of 100-150 basis points.
